Something sweet for Iftar
Ramadan in soon here and something I love about the time of fasting is how people share and help others. Giving food, desserts or drinks to one another for iftar. So I made a little cake slice box and a bonbon candy box with cute lanterns and with the text ”a little treat for iftar”.
A little treat for iftar
The cake slice box is perfect for, well, a slice of cake! And the bonbon candy box i perfect for wrapped candies of dates perhaps? Oooh, made chocolate dipped dates, and with walnuts inside. Yum! I little tip is to place a piece of baking paper, sandwich paper or wax paper on the inside of the cake slice box. Otherwise the paper of the box might get soft and broken from the moist of your cake.
How to make the cake slice box and the bonbon candy box
- Print the templates on card stock paper (150-200 g).
- Cut along the solid lines.
- Fold along the dotted lines. If you have a tool for scoring, you can score the lines first to make folding easier.
- Your folds will create tabs for you to glue your box together.
